Happy 80th Dad!

Hello to you all,

So today sees my Dad turning 80! A milestone surely, even though he doesn't seem to think so. Eight decades!

I have managed to get the day off to go an visit and I am so looking forward to sharing this great day with him.

He told me that he didn't want anything for his birthday and just for me to make him a nice card....no pressure there then!

So this is what I came up with as he does love to read.  I wanted a CAS card with no fuss as he says it's just another day! Gotta love him.

I used a Sheena Douglas stamp
Stamped in Tea Dye distress ink and then coloured with aqua tints - landscape collection and aqua markers - chocolate and desert
The sentiment is using stanps from Ladybug Crafts Ink (sadly no longer trading )

Well I really must dash, still got a lot to do and a little surprise in store for Dad later ;)

Have a good day whatever you are up to.  Hope the snow doesn't hinder any of your plans as we have been hoping it wouldn't get in the way of our day together.

Lots of hugs

A very very Happy Birthday Dad...Love you xxxx

Best Friends...

Happy Saturday!

I have lots and lots of card to make today......some for a brand new launch too :)))

I don't think I will be moving far from my craft room today!

Just wanted to share another card with you today made with a Penny Black image and coloured with the new Spectrum Aquas!  Have I already mentioned that I love these pens :)  They are available to buy now over at Crafters Companion  Have a look here

If you have some Spectrum products then it would be great to see your creations over at the FB challenge page and you could win £30 worth of goodies

The image was stamped onto Crafters companion water colour card which is great with the pens, the colour blends out really well and doesn't leave any lines when you colour direct to the card and blend out with water like some does.

Spectrum Aquas
Hedgies - Charcoal, slate, peach, blossom
Pot - Terracotta, Boulder, Fawn
Grass - Bud green, moss

Really simple style again, the die is from Lil Inkers and the sentiment from Ladybug Crafts Ink (sadly no longer available)

Right I better get cracking on all my projects!

See you again soon.
Have a great day.

Wishing you........

Morning to you all,
Hope you are having a lovely weekend..... not much happening here other than lots of crafting :)

I am truly hooked on water colouring at the moment and have had the opportunity to use the Spectrum Aqua tints and the new Spectrum Aqua pens both of which I love for different reasons.

This image from Crafters Companion was coloured with the Aquatints

Collections used Landscape, Pretty Pastels, Bright and Beautiful

The image is stamped onto Crafters Companion water colour card with Archival ink and then the aquatints are blended with a water brush.  I love the vibrancy of the colours even though they are a water based ink.

Hope to have a few more cards to share this week.

Have a good day and thanks for popping over today.

Anything Goes at Spectrum Noir for January

Morning to you all.....

Hope you are all well.

I am here today to share a card for the Anything Goes challenge over on the Spectrum Noir FB page which Blogger isn't let me link up :(

This is a Bebunni image coloured with the fantastic new Spectrum Aqua markers that were launched on Sunday at the CHA in California.  I have been lucky enough to try the pens out and I really do love how easy they are to use and how easy the colours blend either on the card stock or on an acrylic block

The image was stamped onto Crafters Companion watercolour card and coloured with the following colours
Charcoal, slate, desert, topaz, purple, kingfisher, peach , purple, rose pink, crimson, sunflower, orange, aquamarine.
I added glossy accents to the cake and a hint of glitter as usual :)
The patterned paper is from Hobbycraft and twine from stash.

Have a good day and thanks for popping over.

Catch up....

Happy New Year to you all.....hope you all enjoyed the festivities and also managed to relax and chill a little bit too.
I haven't been well on and off since Boxing Day night with what I think is gallbladder or gall stone problems :(   I have been in bed for a couple of days and an afternoon so I must be poorly as I never take to my bed.  Feeling not too bad today and ventured out for a bit to pick up a few groceries.

I haven't made any new years resolutions other than going back to Slimming World last week and really want to get stuck back into that again this year.  I have still lost just over 3 stone so that's pretty good for me to have maintained the loss really for most of last year but I have a long way still to go and need to get on the losing streak again.

I have a card to share that again is CAS.....should I try a different style...probably but I just find it so difficult so I am just going to keep doing what I enjoy.

This one is for the challenge over at Spectrum Noir

This is coloured with Spectrum Noir Aquatints which I still love
I used colours from Bright and Beautiful, Landscape and Perfectly Primary.
The image is by Rachel Anne Miller and is available from Crafters Companion.

Off to do as little bit more colouring I think.

Thanks again for popping over.
