CAS Strawberry Jam!

Well Monday morning seems to have come round very quickly.  The weekend was lovely but it definitely seemed to be a quick one.

I am really enjoying colouring up some of my older stamps with Distress Ink Markers as it gives them a whole different look.  I have a number of Penny Black images that need to see the light of day again....

So for my card today I used a stamp from a Penny Black Transparent set called Homemade.  It is a very CAS card!

Thanks for popping over today.  I will be back tomorrow with some mid way inspiration for Ladybug Crafts Ink.

The Bears are back.....

Morning to you all,
What a lovely morning, the sun is shining which I wasn't expecting so I think we will be off out for a walk this morning :)

I have just checked back and I think I have done very well....not a bear in site for the last few posts!  But as they are my favourite I have another one to share this morning and maybe another one tomorrow :)

This is a Lili of the Valley image coloured while I was away with Distress Markers and a touch of Twinkling H2O's which don't show up on the screen. Shame I didn't cut the image out straight though, it looks decidedly lop sided!

For my Distress pens I used Daler~Rowney Bockingford Watercolour Paper 140lb but I did colour an image yesterday on Derwent Watercolour paper 140lb which is very smooth and got a good result. I like to use my pens directly on the paper and then blend out with the water brush.  If anyone else does this and uses different paper it would be good to hear from you :)

The stitched die is from Lil Inker
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat
Button and twine from stash

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a lovely day whatever you get up to.

Birthday Wishes....

Good morning everyone,
Hope you are all doing Ok and enjoying the sunshine here in the UK.

I am back again, this time with a card that I made yesterday using a new stamp set from Tiddly Inks that I treated myself to last week.  I decided that I need to break from the usual cute bears/animals and add a bit of variety so this is my attempt!

I used Distress Ink pens and thought and had the Less is More challenge in mins when making this as their theme this week is Watercolour.....

Sorry about the wonky photo!

Image and sentiment - Tiddly Ink
Pink Petticoat background printed onto Papermill Direct white card stock.
Twine from stash.....I think I need to stop adding that to all my cards too!!!

So I would like to enter the Less is More challenge.

Thanks for looking and leaving me a comment, I need to try harder to get round and visit you all.

Have a great day.

Balloon Bunny in Distress with some twinkles....

Morning and happy Saturday,

Can you believe we have reached the 21st June already and it is the longest day?!  I am really not sure where the days/weeks/months go to.

So our two week holiday is almost over....(very sad face) but it does feel like we have had a break from work and we have packed a lot into the fortnight including some jobs around the house that needed to be done.  We have seen some stunning scenery, took a lots of photos, learnt some interesting facts, done some people watching; which is always fascinating, spent time with the folks, walked a lot more than usual, eaten some yummy food, chilled out, I did a lot of colouring and Mike and I have been together for the whole two weeks which has been fab.............there is something to be said for two weeks off work!

As promised I have another card using one of the images coloured while in the Lake district last week.  It is another LOTV image called Balloon Bunny.

He is coloured with Distress Ink Markers and the balloon I added some Twinkling H2o paint too...looks very sparkly in real life.
The paper is MME
Punched the border with Martha Stewart punch
Ric rac braid from Papermania I think
Sentiment - a rub on.

Whatever you do today hope its a good day.

Thanks for popping over.....

Distress Ink Pens

Morning, morning morning to you all....

So all has been quiet on my blog for a few days as we have been away.  We spent a really fab week in the Lake District staying in a cottage in Ambleside just 50 yards from Lake Windermere.  The weather wasn't too bad either.  On my previous post I mentioned the couple of days that we spent with my parents which was really lovely too.
If you want to see what we got up to then you can hop over to Mikes blog where he has done a daily blog post...if you haven't got time to read it all then if nothing else there are some fab photos.

I managed to do some colouring while we were away and started to play with the Distress Ink Pens that I have had for a long time now and haven't really seen the light of day.

After a few images I really have to say that I love them!

I stamped the images with Archival Ink and used Daler~Rowney Bockingford Watercolour Paper 140lb 300gsm
With this paper you can actually do the direct to paper technique and add colour to the image and then use a watercolour brush to spread/blend the colour out.  I personally prefer this technique as it is the same as using Polychromo pencils directly onto the image and blending with Sansador

Hopefully before I am back to the grind stone on Monday I will have a few cards to show you.

Have a good day and I will hopefully be back tomorrow with a card.

Happy Father's Day!!

Hope you are all doing OK......
All is good with us as we continue our holiday into week two.  We are spending a couple of days with my parents before we head back home and have the rest of the week chilling out some more!

So today we think of our Dads whether they are still here or not heres wishing happy times for Father's Day.

My card was actually cased from one that I saw on Pinterest....

It makes a change not to have a cute image on it!

Really like the way that it turned out.

Paper is from Papermania
Buttons from stash
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

Well hope you all have a lovely day whatever you get up to.

Thanks for popping over.

Good Morning,
Hope you had a lovely weekend........it actually felt like it didn't run away with me for a change.   Saturday was a good day visiting Mum and Dad and getting my hair cut and highlighted (where does all the grey hair keep coming from!!)
Sunday we did some gardening and preparing for our new driveway that is being started today....eeekkkk so excited!  It doesn't take much these days to make me a happy bunny. We have had planning permission since last October but just couldn't pin anybody down to come and do the work but finally work starts today :))))

I just wanted to share the card that I made for my brothers birthday which was on Saturday.....he is always listening to music and when I was looking at Mary J's blog I came across a card using Retro Chester from Pollycraft ...as soon as I saw it it made me smile so decided this was the image to use......
